“Om Sathguru Sri Seshadri Swamigal Thiruvadikkae”
There was this beautiful pair of birds, who inspired me to make this necklace. The summer heat was still on, and the afternoons were scorching. It was a very difficult summer. Yet, through all this searing season, I could find an impassioned joy well up in my heart, listening to their beautiful voices, almost all through the day. In the silence of the heat, when all else had given up, loud and clear were the mellifluous strains of the pair of attractive (indian) cuckoos, almost all through the day, in their fervent animated spirits!
This necklace, that I call “Kokila” is in a simple way a dedication to the all-consuming spirit of my pretty feathered friends…
Kokila, is a symmetrical strung collection of Black Obsidian, Indian Agate, White Agate, Red Onyx, Moss Agate, and Titanium Druzy beads, with a luscious Grey Agate pendant!
The arrangement of beads in Kokila matches the beautiful patterning of colours in the cuckoo. Although simple in pattern, Kokila offers an unmatched visual charisma!
Black Obsidian protects and grounds, the Indian and Moss Agates create a serene calm, the White Agate balances with Obsidian to create a balance in the Yin-Yang energies, while the Red Onyx provides a security and stability, apart from the attractive quotient! The quaint Titanium Druzy beads de-stress, relax the mind, uplift spirits, and amplifies one’s energies…
Kokila is a well-balanced combination of the Yin and the Yang, and beautifully blends grounding with upliftment, relaxation with vigour, and harmony with a peaceful contrast!
Green gemstones are associated with the Anahata, or the heart chakra.
White gemstones are associated with the Sahasrara, or the crown chakra.
Red, Grey and Black gemstones are associated with the Mooladhara, or the root chakra.
