Necklace – “Maangalya”

“Om Sathguru Sri Seshadri Swamigal Thiruvadikkae”

DSCN6140

“Maangalya” – Auspiciousness…

“Maangalya” is a blessing…. The combination of stones used here resonate with sacred vibrations….

With a traditional and classic combination of colours,  “Maangalya” shimmers in loveliness, in the shades of the Pale Green Aventurines, Dark Green Aventurines, Green Onyx, Red Onyx and Rainbow Moonstones!

A combination of Green and Red stones is not just visibly imposing, but a well-balanced one in terms of energy. The Red stones capture and root the harmony, serenity, vigour and prosperity that flow from the Green stones, and fortify it with a solidarity and stability, that red stones characterize. The Translucent Moonstones, (stones of mental stability), with their soft sheen, offer a subdued balance to the bright reds and the prominent greens. The beautiful flow of the necklace culminates in a glorious pendant that highlights the the reigning Deity of the Mooladhara chakra – Lord Ganesha!

This simple yet cherished design, with burnished gold floral spacers, has an attractive centrepiece with a pair of bright gold round florals, that showcase a bright beautiful gold pendant.

The colours Red, Green, and Lord Ganesha, all hold a very sanctimonious place in the heart of Hinduism. And therefore, this necklace, that makes a definite promise of everything auspicious, goes by the name, “Maangalya”.

Red gemstones correspond to the Mooladhara, or the root chakra.

Green gemstones correspond to the Anahata, or the heart chakra.

White or Translucent gemstones correspond to the Sahasrara, or the crown chakra.

Necklace – “Ranjana”

“Om Sathguru Sri Seshadri Swamigal Thiruvadikkae”

Ranjana

Ranjana charms one with a pleasing simplicity. Made of Magenta Onyx, Fluorite, Watermelon Jade and a Green Onyx pendant, this necklace is simple, traditional, yet made rich, by its vibrant colours. Magenta and Green alternate in a very appealing pattern, with striking silver spacers. The hues deepen centrepiece, as the lovely double-hued Watermelon Jades take over to showcase a pale green Onyx pendant, that matches well with the pale green Fluorites.

While Fluorite is a mystical stone that brings in mental order and clarity, *detoxifies one, and and provides much healing on the emotional and spiritual planes, Onyx is a stone that offers physical protection, security and stability.

Watermelon Jade is essentially colour-enhanced Jade, that exhibits a lovely dual shade of green and maroon. Jade is a stone of good health and longevity.

Green gemstones are associated with the Anaahata (heart) chakra.

Magenta gemstones are associated with the Ajna (third-eye), & Sahasraara, (crown) chakras.

Dimensions – 8 mm beads, 20 inches long

* Please note that Fluorite needs to be washed in running and cleansed more often (maybe once a week), than other stones, due to its propensity to suck up and store negative energy. This only means that Fluorite detoxifies and absorbs toxic energy and stores it unto itself and seals shut. It doesn’t let it out. For it to continue to heal, it needs to be cleansed regularly.

Necklace – “Shyaama Tara”

“Om Sathguru Sri Seshadri Swamigal Thiruvadikkae”

DSCN6298

Shyaama Tara

Shyaama Tara, is an aesthetic and dynamic combination of Red Onyx, Indian Agate, Howlite, and Tree Agate, named after the Buddhist Goddess ‘Green Tara’.

‘Shyaama’ means dark or (in this context) green, and ‘Tara’, refers to the Divine Feminine Principle, in Buddhism. Green Tara is called Shyaama Tara, in Sanskrit.

Blessed by the Goddess, who symbolizes the Pristine Spirit of the trees, woods, flowers, fruits, butterflies, birds, and the wind, Shyaama Tara, is born as a gentle child of Nature…

Indian Agate is a stone that comes from the mountains, carried down to river beds by the flowing waters. It is most often found during the period of the full moon. Through its travel, it catches the vibrations of the earth, water, moon and the sun! It emanates a mysterious range of healing properties… No wonder, it had been used widely by our ancients…. No stone can possibly exhibit this stunning range of colours, as the Indian Agate!

These beautiful Agates combine with a set of Red Onyx stones to achieve a beautiful pattern. And then the Howlites strike a beautiful contrast to the greens and the reds. With silverine beads in the centrepiece, the smooth alabaster Tree Agate stands out as an imposing pendant. The effect is truly picturesque!

This a splendid combination necklace that addresses the Sahasraara (crown) through the white Howlites & Tree Agate, Anahata (heart) through the Indian Agate, and the Mooladhara (root) chakra through the Red Onyx.

Much like the Goddess, Shyaama Tara symbolizes the feminine principle she has the power to create, nurture, protect, create compassion, love and harmony and good energy!
